What children will practise

See why planning and sharing housework helps, do the necessary and urgent job first, put things and tools back every time, and recognise that housework builds responsibility.

What's in the worksheet

6 questions, multiple choice with 3 options each - Planning housework means everything gets done and nothing is forgotten - Which job first: the necessary and urgent one (not the easiest or the favourite) - Sharing housework in the family: it finishes faster and no one carries it alone - When done: put the tools away and check it is neat - Regular housework trains responsibility and self-care

How to use it in class

Use in a lesson where children draw up their own housework timetable; play before they write it. 5 minutes. - Play solo, then use question 2 as a prompt for children to rank their own chores by urgency - If many miss question 2, give an example: "Washing on the line with rain coming, or putting toys away: which comes first?" - Play it linked to a class and the scores go into the class gradebook; use the results to see who still chooses by preference.

Common sticking points

- In question 2, choosing always the easiest, since children like starting easy and the word เร่งด่วน may be new; explain with the washing-before-rain example - In question 5, choosing leave the tools out for the next person because it sounds kind - In question 3, choosing things won't get old, which sounds like a good reason
