What children will practise

Sort food by the Thai food guide flag, behaviours that lower or raise accident risk, trustworthy health sources from ones to check first, and moderate from vigorous exercise.

What's in the worksheet

4 sorting rounds, 2 baskets each - Eat more or less: brown rice, sugar, leafy greens, oil - Lowers or raises risk: wearing a helmet, using a phone while crossing, checking damaged wires, overloading an extension lead - Trustworthy or check first: the Ministry of Public Health website, forwarded LINE messages, a doctor's advice, supplement adverts - Moderate or vigorous: brisk walking, sprinting, easy cycling, running up stairs non-stop

How to use it in class

Reviews several Grade 6 units; about 4-5 minutes. - Play in teams against the clock - For round 4, walk briskly round the room for 30 seconds and try a long sentence; being able to talk is the yardstick for intensity - For round 3, have children recall a health message from a family LINE group and discuss where to check it - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book.

Common sticking points

- Round 3: children who have seen doctors in adverts may hesitate over a doctor's advice; point out the game means a doctor who actually examines you - Round 4: easy cycling may seem too light to count as moderate, but there is no light basket in this game - Round 2: checking damaged wires may not register as lowering risk because children do not do it themselves - Round 1: some children think oil is needed for every meal and hesitate
