What children will practise

A mixed Grade 6 health review: the food guide flag, helping an unconscious person, the mental health hotline, refusal skills, judging exercise intensity, and the role of village health volunteers.

What's in the worksheet

6 multiple-choice questions, 3 options each, one topic each - On the food guide flag, oil, sugar and salt are eaten least - With an unconscious person, check the scene is safe first (distractor: give them water) - The mental health hotline is 1323 - Effective refusal: speak clearly and walk away - Judge intensity by how well you can still talk; village health volunteers educate and follow up

How to use it in class

Use before the Grade 6 final; about 5 minutes. - Play solo and check per-question results; follow weak spots with that topic's game - For question 3, have children compare 1669, 1165 and 1323 and when to use each (1669 medical emergencies, 1165 drug addiction helpline, 1323 mental health) - For question 2, if time allows, demonstrate checking the scene around an unconscious person - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book.

Common sticking points

- Question 2: 'give water to revive them' and 'sit them up' are what children see on TV; stress that an unconscious person may choke - Question 3: children know 1669 best, and 1165 is also a hotline, so the three numbers get confused - Question 4: 'smile and say I'll think about it' sounds polite and suits agreeable children, but invites being asked again - Question 5: 'count how many minutes you have played' confuses duration with intensity
