Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Use water, electricity and paper sparingly, understand reuse, choose cloth bags over plastic, and see that sorting waste lets recyclable things be used again.

What's in the worksheet

6 questions, multiple choice with 3 options each - Saving water: turn off the tap while brushing and fix leaks - Saving electricity: switch lights off when not in use (not small lights in every room) - Using paper fully: use both sides - Using something again is called reuse - Sorting waste means recyclable waste gets used again

How to use it in class

Use in a lesson on resources, or on Environment Day. 5 minutes. - Play as a class, then each child picks one item to actually do at home this week - For question 4, separate reuse from recycling clearly: filling the same bottle again versus melting it down to make a new one - If many miss question 2, ask "Who does a small light help in an empty room?" - Play it linked to a class and the scores go into the class gradebook.

Common sticking points

- In question 4, children who know the word recycle may hesitate, since การนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ is also the Thai term for recycling; separate the meanings clearly - In question 2, choosing small lights in every room, thinking small bulbs use no power - In question 5, choosing always lighter and easier to carry because cloth bags fold up
