Before you play
Practise matching the initial consonants ก ข ค ง จ ฉ ช ด to their ก ไก่ chant words, counting syllables in 1- to 4-syllable words, and the meanings of basic words พ่อ, แม่, บ้าน, โรงเรียน, for reading words aloud correctly (ท 1.1 ป.1/1).
4 matching questions, 4 pairs each - Match ก to ไก่ (chicken), ข to ไข่ (egg), ค to ควาย (buffalo), ง to งู (snake) - Match จ to จาน (plate), ฉ to ฉิ่ง (cymbals), ช to ช้าง (elephant), ด to เด็ก (child) - Match นก to 1 syllable, ดินสอ to 2, มะละกอ to 3, นาฬิกาแขวน to 4 - Match บ้าน (house) to the place where you live
Use after the class has chanted ก ไก่ through ด เด็ก, 5 minutes in solo mode. - Before items 1 and 2, chant ก ไก่, ข ไข่ ... together - For item 3, clap the syllables of each word before tapping - Item 4 is an easy win; read the meanings aloud for children who don't read fluently yet Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book.
- Item 1: swapping ข and ค because ไข่ and ควาย start with the same sound; match by the letter in the chant, not the sound - Item 2: swapping ฉ and ช for the same reason - Item 3: counting นาฬิกาแขวน as 3 because the word is unfamiliar; clap นา-ฬิ-กา-แขวน slowly
