Before you play
Practises the order of steps across arts: watercolour from light to dark, modelling from rough form to detail, rehearsing from parts to dress rehearsal, and putting on an exhibition. Supports indicator ศ 1.1 ป.2/2.
4 rounds, order 4 steps each - sketch in pencil > paint light colours first > layer dark colours on top > add details - read the script and learn the moves > rehearse part by part > run the whole piece > dress rehearsal with music - knead the clay soft > shape the rough form > add details > decorate and leave to dry - choose the work > write labels > arrange it nicely > present to friends
Use before a watercolour or clay lesson, or before a class exhibition, about 6 minutes, solo or in pairs. In the watercolour round, if many put dark first, paint dark then try to cover it with light to show light cannot cover dark. The exhibition round can become the class's actual plan. Play it linked to the class and the scores go into the gradebook.
- Watercolour: children often put "dark on top" before "light first", since crayon work has no such order. Demonstrate on paper. - Rehearsal: "run the whole piece" and "dress rehearsal with music" often swap because children do not know what a dress rehearsal is. Explain it is practising exactly like the real day. - Exhibition: "write labels" and "arrange it" may swap, and in real life either works.
