Before you play
Practises ordering the steps of keeping income and expense accounts, administrative units from small to large, problem-solving with the Four Noble Truths, and a school conservation project. Supports indicator ส 3.1 ป.3/1.
4 rounds, order 4 steps each - record income > record expenses > total both sides > compare and plan - village > sub-district > district > province - know what the problem is > find its cause > set the goal you want > act on the chosen method - survey problems at school > plan a fix > do it together > follow up
Reviews several units at once, about 6 minutes, solo. After the Four Noble Truths round, label each step on the board with dukkha, samudaya, nirodha and magga. The school-conservation round can become a real class project straight away, such as canteen litter. When a round goes badly, ask "Without knowing this, could you do the next step?" Play it linked to the class and the scores go into the gradebook.
- Accounts: "record income" and "record expenses" have no fixed order, so children who swap them have not misunderstood. Say beforehand the game starts with income. - Four Noble Truths: "set the goal" (nirodha) is often put last, as children think the goal comes after acting. - Conservation: "follow up" and "do it together" may swap if children do not know what following up means.
