Practise sorting words by their final sound (แม่กง/แม่กน, แม่กม/แม่เกย, แม่กก/แม่กด) and telling live syllables from dead ones, to read and explain words correctly (ท 1.1 ป.2/2).
4 sorting questions - ลิง and ปลง end in ง (แม่กง); จาน and บิน end in น (แม่กน) - ลม and ยิ้ม end in ม (แม่กม); เลย and สวย end in ย (แม่เกย) - นก and มาก end in ก (แม่กก); ปิด and จิต end in ด/ต (แม่กด) - นาน and ลิง are live syllables; นก and มาก are dead syllables
Use after teaching final-consonant classes, 5 minutes in team mode. - For every item, children read the words aloud and listen to the ending before dragging - For item 4, stretch นาาาน and ลิงงง, then try นก and มาก to feel that they can't be stretched - Then each team finds one more word in the room for each group Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book.
- Item 4: putting มาก with live syllables because its vowel is long; the final ก makes it dead anyway - Item 3: hesitating over จิต, which ends in ต, not ด; ต also belongs to แม่กด - Item 2: putting เลย and สวย in แม่กม if the ย ending isn't heard yet
