Before you begin
Name the source of a sound from a picture, covering instruments, animals, vehicles, household objects and nature.
10 questions, 10 points - Write what is making the sound in each picture; there is no word bank - Key answers: drum, bell, guitar, bird, dog, car, clapping, rain, telephone and train - Some pictures carry sound words, such as beep beep on the car, ring ring on the phone and choo choo on the train - The answer key writes every answer in red
Use early in a sound unit. Allow about 15 minutes. - Before starting, play an eyes-closed listening game: tap, shake or play short sounds and let children guess the source - After marking, sort the ten items into sounds from living things and sounds from non-living things
- Writing the sound word instead of the source, copying beep beep or ring ring from the picture - Item 2: writing temple bell (ระฆัง) instead of bell (กระดิ่ง) because of the shape; accept both - Item 7: writing hands instead of clapping, which is also a correct source
