A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
Revising the eight and nine times tables - the two people get wrong most often.
Each unit suits a different size of quantity.
The top number is the shaded part; the bottom number is the whole.
Before you play
P3 review through matching: products in the 8 and 9 tables (indicator ค 1.1 ป.3/6), units of weight and capacity with what they measure (indicators ค 2.1 ป.3/7 and ป.3/11), fraction names, and numbers that divide exactly.
4 matching questions - 8 × 5 = 40, 9 × 3 = 27, 9 × 7 = 63 - Gram with the weight of a biscuit, millilitre with a spoonful of medicine, litre with the water in a large bottle - 1/3 with a third, 3/4 with three quarters - 21 divides exactly by 3, 25 by 5, 24 by 6
Use as review before end-of-term tests, 6-8 minutes, team mode. - For units, hold up a medicine spoon and a 1.5-litre bottle if you have them - For divisibility, suggest teams match the surest pair first (25 with "by 5"), then the rest, since 20 and 24 divide by several numbers - The fraction question has no shaded pictures; draw divided shapes on the board alongside - The Q1 on-screen explanation says the 8 and 9 tables are the ones people get wrong most often; that claim is unsupported, so do not repeat it - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book
- In the divisibility question, 24 divides by 3, 4 and 6, and 20 by 4 and 5, so pupils pair wrongly and get stuck on the last card. Teach them to start with the card that has only one option - Swapping 9 × 3 = 27 and 8 × 3 = 24 - Swapping millilitre and litre, thinking medicine is important so it gets the big unit
