What children will practise

Mixed P3 review: times-table multiplication and division (indicators ค 1.1 ป.3/6 and ป.3/7), adding and subtracting hundreds, half of a number, and converting an hour and a half to minutes.

What's in the worksheet

6 multiple-choice questions - 8 × 4 = 32 and 63 ÷ 9 = 7 - 350 + 250 = 600 - 1/2 of 16 is 8 - 900 - 450 = 450 - How many minutes in an hour and a half? 90, with 120 and 75 as distractors

How to use it in class

Use as a mid-term quick check, 7-8 minutes, solo mode to see individuals. - For 350 + 250 and 900 - 450, encourage mental methods: 350 + 250 is 300 + 200, then 50 + 50 - For an hour and a half, turn the minute hand of a teaching clock round one and a half times to show 60 + 30 - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book, then see which question was missed most and reteach it

Common sticking points

- For an hour and a half, choosing 75 by taking half an hour as 15 minutes, or 120 by counting two hours. Turn a real clock hand - Choosing 500 for 350 + 250 by adding the hundreds and forgetting 50 + 50 - Choosing 550 or 350 for 900 - 450 from slips subtracting across zeros. Think 450 + 450 = 900
