What children will practise

Use ratio in real situations: mixing syrup, sharing profit three ways, map scales, boys to girls, and fuel use, following ค 1.1 ป.6/11.

What's in the worksheet

6 questions, multiple choice with 3 options - Syrup to water 1 : 4 with 50 ml of syrup: water needed (200) - 1,200 baht profit shared 1 : 2 : 3: third share (600) - 5 cm on a 1 : 1000 map: real distance (50 m) - Boys to girls 3 : 4 with 18 boys: girls (24) - 15 km per litre: litres for 90 km (6)

How to use it in class

Use after ratio word problems, to connect with everyday life; about 6-7 minutes. - Play in teams and have each team set the ratio out as a table first - If many miss Q3, convert 5000 cm to metres together (divide by 100) - For Q2, draw a 6-part bar and shade 3 parts for the third person - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book.

Common sticking points

- Q3: getting 5000 cm then converting wrongly to 500 m or 5 m - Q2: dividing 1,200 by 3 to get 400 because there are three people, instead of using 6 parts - Q1: 250 by treating the total as 5 parts - Q5: 20 or 28 by adding the difference instead of multiplying
