There are ways of using someone's work that are allowed, and ways that are not.
Before you play
Practises sorting 2D and 3D artworks, dance-led versus dialogue-led performances, acceptable versus unacceptable use of others' work, and elements you see directly versus qualities that come from arrangement. Supports indicator ศ 1.2 ป.4/1.
4 rounds, sort 4 items into 2 groups - paintings and prints are 2D; statues and carvings are 3D - rabam and fon are dance-led; likay and spoken drama are dialogue-led - developing an idea further with credit is fine; copying a whole piece and calling it yours is not - colour and line are seen directly; rhythm and balance come from arrangement
Pairs well with a lesson on copyright and inspiration, about 6 minutes, in teams. In the behaviour round, have teams give reasons before each reveal, since children face this when handing in work. If the elements round goes badly, point to a repeating pattern on cloth or floor tiles to show rhythm comes from repetition. Play it linked to the class and the scores go into the gradebook.
- Elements round: children tie "rhythm" to music and are unsure how a picture has it. Show a repeating pattern on cloth. - Prints: some think they are 3D because the printing block is raised. - Likay has singing, dancing and dialogue; children who have watched it may put it with dance. Accept the reasoning, but say the game counts it as dialogue-led.
