Before you begin
Look at pictures of children doing classroom actions and choose the instruction that fits, such as Raise your hand., Be quiet. and Close the door.

Use early in the term, once the class has been hearing these instructions for real. Allow about 10 minutes. - Before starting, play Simon says with the ten instructions on the sheet - After marking, children take turns as the teacher, reading an instruction from the sheet for classmates to act out
- Mixing up items 1 and 6, as both show a child with an open book; item 1 is Open your book. and item 6 is Read your book. - Item 3: choosing Open your book. because of the open book on the desk, missing the raised hand - Item 10: hesitating or choosing Draw a star., because the child must be seen to be closing the book - Item 7: the boy simply stands still, so some choose Be quiet. instead of Stand up.
