Mathematics
An AR classroom game for Grade 4. Learners can aim with their hands at the camera or play by tapping the screen.
This set has 4 rounds in an interactive matching activity.
Curriculum indicatorค 1.1 ป.4/9
A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
The eight and nine times tables.
Dividing asks what the divisor multiplies by to reach the starting number.
The bottom number is how many parts in all; the top is how many are shaded.
Before you play
Match products in the 8 and 9 tables and the matching divisions (indicator ค 1.1 ป.4/9), fractions with descriptions of shaded parts, and shapes with their area formulas.
4 matching questions - 8 × 7 = 56, 9 × 6 = 54, 8 × 9 = 72, 9 × 9 = 81 - 64 ÷ 8 = 8, 42 ÷ 7 = 6, 35 ÷ 7 = 5 - 3/4 with 3 of 4 parts shaded; 2/3 with 2 of 3 parts shaded - Rectangle width × length; triangle base × height ÷ 2; parallelogram base × height
Use to review several units in one game, 6-8 minutes, team mode. - P4 only covers the area of rectangles. If triangles and parallelograms have not been taught, let teams match the first two shapes, then cut a paper rectangle along its diagonal to show where ÷ 2 comes from - In the division question, notice that 42 ÷ 7 and 35 ÷ 7 share a divisor - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book
- Swapping the triangle and parallelogram formulas, since both use base × height. Remember a triangle is half of a parallelogram with the same base and height - Swapping 9 × 6 = 54 and 8 × 7 = 56, which are very close - Swapping 42 ÷ 7 and 35 ÷ 7 when the 7 times table is shaky
