What children will practise

Mixed P2 review: subtraction with borrowing, the 3 and 4 times tables (indicator ค 1.1 ป.2/5), the value of each digit in a two-digit number, and matching clock times to daily routines.

What's in the worksheet

4 matching questions - 50 - 27 with 23 and 60 - 38 with 22 - 3 × 7 with 21 and 4 × 9 with 36 - The 3 in 35 is worth 30; the 2 in 72 is worth 2 - 07:00 go to school, 21:00 go to bed

How to use it in class

Use at the end of term or before a test as several topics in one game, 6-8 minutes. Play in teams with scrap paper. - In the subtraction question, 22, 23 and 25 are close together; have teams work them out rather than guess from the tens - For place value, build 35 with tens rods and unit cubes to show the 3 means three tens - The on-screen explanation for the times-table question says the 3 and 4 tables are the first two to learn; most classes start with 2, 5 and 10, so tell pupils not to take that line literally - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book and see which topic needs reteaching

Common sticking points

- Swapping 60 - 38 and 50 - 27 after forgetting to borrow, then picking the nearest answer. Work each in columns - Matching the 3 in 35 to 3 instead of 30, looking at the digit but not its position - If the 4 times table is shaky, pairing 4 × 9 with the wrong product. Count up in fours
