A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
Four times twenty-five is a hundred; two hundred take away a hundred leaves a hundred baht.
A hundred and twenty divided by four is thirty per class; take away fifteen boys and fifteen girls are left.
Twenty times fifteen is three hundred; take away a hundred and two hundred baht is left.
Before you play
Solve two-step word problems (indicator ค 1.1 ป.4/11) mixing multiplication, division and subtraction, such as buying then finding change, or sharing then finding what is left, plus area and dozens.
6 multiple-choice questions - Four notebooks at 25 baht paid with 200: 100 change - 120 students in 4 classes with 15 boys each: 15 girls per class - 20 baht a day for 15 days, 100 spent: 200 left - 8 boxes of 12, 40 given out: 56 left - 5 dozen is 60
Use after teaching two-step problems, 8-10 minutes, team mode; teams write steps 1 and 2 separately before answering. - For the 120 students, reread the problem and stress that it asks for girls per class - The rectangle and dozen items are one-step, a breather between harder ones - Play it linked to the class to record results in the mark book, then use the per-question view to see which step pupils miss
- For the 120 students, pupils who find all the girls get 60, not an option, because the Thai prompt does not say "per class". Accept that reasoning - Choosing 66 or 46 for 8 boxes of 12 after slipping on 12 × 8. Split into 10 × 8 + 2 × 8 - Choosing 220 or 180 for the 15-day savings after slipping on 20 × 15. Think 20 × 10 + 20 × 5
