4 questions, an ordering game with four steps each - seed > root appears > seedling > grown plant in flower - egg > caterpillar > chrysalis > butterfly - baby > child > teenager > adult - prepare the soil > sow the seed > water it > look after it as it grows
Team play suits this one, as young children enjoy arguing about order. About 5 minutes; read each piece aloud first. After question 2, show pictures or a short clip of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. Question 1 leads naturally into sprouting mung beans in a plastic cup and watching the root appear the following week. You can link it to a class and record it in the gradebook.
- Question 2: swapping chrysalis and caterpillar because ดักแด้ is a new word. Show a picture of a chrysalis before playing. - Question 1: putting seedling before root appears, since the green shoot is what they see above ground. Sprouting beans in a clear cup helps. - Question 4: putting water it before sow the seed, having seen adults wet the soil first. Accept that this happens, but the game sows first.
