Before you begin
Read a one-month calendar to find days of the week, the day before and after, and count the gap between dates in days and weeks.
10 questions, 20 points - Uses a calendar for September 2569 BE (2026), which starts on a Tuesday - Asks for the day before or after, e.g. the day before 20 September (19), and days of the week, e.g. 10 September is a Thursday and 30 September a Wednesday - Counts gaps: 5 to 12 September is 7 days, 18 to 30 September is 12 days, and two weeks after 3 September is the 17th - A separate answer key is included
Use once children know the names of the days and months. Allow about 15 minutes. - Read the note at the top together (do not count the starting day when counting a gap), then count question 3 on fingers as a class - Follow up with the classroom calendar for the current month and let children write similar questions for a partner
- Counting the starting day too, giving 8 days for question 3 and 13 for question 9 - In question 6, treating two weeks as 2 days or moving down only one row to the 10th - In question 7, counting calendar rows and answering 5 Mondays, although the first row has none - Misreading the abbreviations, e.g. confusing พ. (Wednesday) with พฤ. (Thursday)
