Use as end-of-unit review for addition and subtraction within 100. Allow about 15-20 minutes. - For questions 1-5, have children first ask "did the number get bigger or smaller?" before choosing the sign - Ask children to turn question 7 or 9 into a short word problem and tell it to a partner

- In questions 1-5, picking a sign from the pictures or alternating guesses instead of checking whether the result is bigger or smaller than the first number - Getting 67 for 90 - 37 in question 9 by doing 7 - 0 in the ones - Forgetting to carry in questions 6 and 8, giving 52 and 54 - Getting 60 in question 10 by dropping the 1 carried from 2 + 8
