Science
An AR classroom game for Grade 4. Learners can aim with their hands at the camera or play by tapping the screen.
This set has 4 rounds in an interactive ordering activity.
Curriculum indicatorว 1.2 ป.4/1
A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
A plant takes in its raw materials, makes food, then gives off gas.
Water goes round in a cycle with no end.
Current leaves the source, runs along the wire and returns.
Before you play
Orders four processes: photosynthesis, the water cycle, the path of electric current, and the journey of food through the body. Question 1 matches indicator ว 1.2 ป.4/1 (jobs of roots, stems, leaves and flowers); the others link to later-grade indicators ว 3.2 ป.5/3 (water cycle), ว 2.3 ป.6/1 (circuits) and ว 1.2 ป.6/4 (digestion).
4 questions, an ordering game with four steps each - roots take in water > leaves take in light and CO2 > make food > oxygen released - water evaporates > condenses into clouds > falls as rain > runs into rivers and seas - battery > wire > bulb > back to the battery - chewed in the mouth > down the oesophagus > broken down in the stomach > absorbed in the small intestine
A process review before tests, about 5 minutes in teams. For question 3, have children trace the circuit drawn on the board with a finger. On question 1, mention that in a real plant the first two steps can happen together; the game separates them for clarity. The Thai title does not mention the water cycle or digestion, so you may want to tell children first. You can link it to a class and record it in the gradebook.
- Question 1: swapping roots take in water and leaves take in light and CO2, which really do happen together. Accept that the order could swap in reality. - Question 4: putting absorbed in the small intestine before the stomach, not knowing the organ order. Have children point down their own body from top to bottom. - Question 2: putting rain first, seeing it as the start. Explain that it is a cycle, but the game starts at evaporation.
