Grades 4–6 (P.4–P.6)
Science
An AR classroom game for Grade 5. Learners can aim with their hands at the camera or play by tapping the screen.
This set has 6 questions in an interactive multiple choice activity.
A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
The heart's four chambers keep used and fresh blood from mixing.
Pressure is the force acting on one unit of area.
Sound travels fastest through solids, because their particles are packed close together.
Before you play
A mixed Grade 5 review: the four-chambered heart, pressure, the medium where sound is fastest, fungi as decomposers, rusting as chemical change and the largest planet. The six items are six different topics, so the set is not tied to any single indicator; use it as a general review.
6 questions, multiple choice with three options each - The human heart has 4 chambers - Pressure is force per unit area - Sound travels fastest in a solid - Fungi are decomposers, rusting is a chemical change, and Jupiter is the largest planet
A 5-minute review before Grade 5 end-of-term tests, played solo. Use the gradebook to choose a topic set to replay, such as QS-SCI-P5-BLOOD-01, QS-SCI-P5-FORCE-01 or QS-SCI-P5-SOUND-01. For question 3, have a child press an ear to the desk while a friend taps, then compare with listening through the air. You can link it to a class and record it in the gradebook.
- Question 3: choosing gas, since we hear through air every day. Demonstrate with an ear pressed to the desk. - Question 2: choosing mass times acceleration, which is the formula for force, not pressure. Explain that Grade 5 does not need that formula. - Question 6: choosing Saturn because its rings make it look big.
