Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Read clothing words, choose clothes for the weather, understand wear, put on, take off and wash, and describe clothes with colours such as white shirt (indicator ต 1.1 ป.2/2).

What's in the worksheet

4 questions, matching 4 pairs each - shirt to เสื้อเชิ้ต, trousers to กางเกงขายาว, skirt to กระโปรง - jacket to cold day, raincoat to rainy day - take off to ถอดออก, wash to ซัก - white shirt to เสื้อขาว, blue skirt to กระโปรงสีน้ำเงิน

How to use it in class

Start by having children look at their own uniform and say white shirt, black shoes, then play for 5 minutes, solo on tablets or in pairs. - For the verbs, put a real hat on and take it off while saying put on / take off - If children argue that a hat also suits a hot day, agree, and show there is one best match left - Play it linked to your class to store scores in the gradebook

Common sticking points

- wear and put on (Q3): swapped because both become ใส่ in Thai. Mime it: put on is the action, wear is the state - hat and shorts (Q2): sunny day and hot day overlap. Teach children to match the obvious pairs first - trousers: hard to say and remember for some. Read it together first
