What's in the worksheet

6 questions, multiple choice with 3 options - I ___ ice cream. Answer: like - She ___ cats. Answer: likes - ___ he like football? Answer: Does - I do not ___ spiders. Answer: like

How to use it in class

Open by asking the class Do you like ice cream? with a show of hands, then play solo for 5 minutes. - Afterwards, pairs interview each other with Do you like ...? and report She likes ... to the class, practising the s for real - If Does goes badly, post a sign for the lesson: I/you/we/they take Do, he/she takes Does - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- She ___ cats (Q2): choosing like, because Thai verbs never change with the subject. Make an s shape with your hand whenever he or she appears - ___ he like football? (Q4): choosing Do, carried over from Do you like milk? just before - I do not ___ spiders (Q5): choosing likes. Stress the base form after do not
