Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Order the words of She is my sister, the numbers fifteen to eighteen, the months May to August, and the English steps for washing your hands.

What's in the worksheet

4 questions, putting items in order - She / is / my / sister - fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen - May, June, July, August - turn on the water, use soap, rub your hands, dry your hands

How to use it in class

Works well just before lunch, as the handwashing item leads straight into real handwashing. Whole class, about 4 minutes. - For handwashing, children mime each step while saying rub your hands - For months, ask children born in those months When is your birthday? - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- June and July (Q3) are often swapped, both starting with Ju. June is shorter and comes first - She / is / my / sister: some put my after sister, following Thai น้องสาวของฉัน - Handwashing: swapping use soap and turn on the water, as some children pump soap first
