Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Choose What, Where, Who or How to match what you want to know, as in What colour is it?, How old are you? and Where do you live?, for everyday questions and answers.

What's in the worksheet

6 questions, multiple choice for the question word - ___ is my bag? Answer: Where - ___ is your teacher? Answer: Who - ___ colour is it? Answer: What - ___ old are you? Answer: How

How to use it in class

Play solo for 5 minutes after teaching wh-questions, then run a pair interview using all six questions for real. - The game accepts only Who for ___ is your teacher?, but Where is your teacher? is also correct. If a child picks Where, praise it and ask how they would answer - How old is often missed: practise How old are you? I am eight years old. - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- ___ old are you? (Q5): choosing What, as Thai อายุเท่าไร has no word for How - ___ is your teacher? (Q3): choosing Where, which is grammatical but scored wrong - ___ colour is it? (Q4): unsure because What seems to be only for names. Show What colour, What time
