What children will practise

Sort savoury food vs sweets, adjectives for people vs things, vehicles with and without wheels, and statements vs Do/Does questions, reading words and sentences (indicator ต 1.1 ป.3/2).

What's in the worksheet

4 questions, sorting into 2 groups - rice, soup are savoury; cake, ice cream are sweet - kind, friendly describe a person; heavy, expensive describe a thing - car, bicycle have wheels; boat, ship do not - She likes cats. is a statement; Does she like cats? is a question

How to use it in class

An end-of-year P3 game, about 5 minutes, in teams; the mixed topics suit a pre-test review. - In Q4, have teams notice that likes has an s in the statement but like has none after Does - In Q2, each team adds one more word for describing people, such as funny - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- expensive (Q2) is long and unfamiliar, so it is guessed into the person group. Teach it as แพง - friendly (Q2) may go to things because of its -ly ending - They play football. (Q4) may be dragged to questions next to Do they play football?. Look for the ? at the end
