A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
You wake before doing anything else, and eat breakfast before going to school.
Home first, then homework, then dinner, and bed last.
Wet your hands first, or the soap will not lather and lift the dirt.
Before you play
Order a morning routine, an evening routine and handwashing steps in English, and the words of I eat rice every day, so children can give information about their own day (indicator ต 1.2 ป.3/4).
4 questions, putting items in order - wake up, brush my teeth, eat breakfast, go to school - come home, do homework, eat dinner, go to bed - turn on the water, use soap, rinse my hands, dry my hands - I / eat / rice / every day
Use in a health lesson or before lunch, about 5 minutes, in teams; each team picks someone to mime the order for the others. - Q3 uses rinse, a new word; mime washing the soap off first - If children order Q1 or Q2 as they do at home, accept that real life varies - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook
- rinse my hands (Q3): the meaning is unknown, so it lands in the wrong place, such as before use soap - Q1 and Q2: children who brush after breakfast or eat before homework order them differently; a routine difference, not a language one - I / eat / rice / every day: some start with every day, which is possible but not accepted
