Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Read and choose weather words (rainy, sunny, cold, windy, hot, cloudy) and notice that several come from a noun plus -y (rain to rainy) (indicator ต 1.1 ป.3/2).

What's in the worksheet

6 questions, multiple choice from a Thai prompt - ฝนตก: rainy - หนาว: cold (distractor warm) - ลมแรง: windy (distractors foggy, snowy) - It is very ___ today. (very hot): hot

How to use it in class

Use as a daily weather report at the start of class, about 4 minutes, solo; then one child reports Today it is ... - Write rain, sun, wind and cloud on the board and add y to show the pattern - If windy is missed, turn a fan up high and say It is windy! - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- หนาว (Q3): hesitating between cold and warm, as warm is less familiar - ลมแรง (Q4): choosing foggy or snowy when none of the three are known. Look for the root wind - เมฆมาก (Q6): choosing sunny, often seen alongside cloudy
