What children will practise

Practise ranking never, sometimes, often and always, and placing them correctly in a sentence: before the main verb but after is. Also order the times of day to retell a daily routine.

What's in the worksheet

4 ordering questions: drag the cards into the right order - Least to most: never > sometimes > often > always - Build the sentence I always brush my teeth - Build the sentence She is never late - Times of day: In the morning > At noon > In the evening > At night

How to use it in class

Good practice after a daily-routine lesson, under 5 minutes. Team mode (3-4 per team) gets pupils talking about which word goes first. - Before playing, draw a 0% to 100% line on the board and have pupils place the frequency words - After She is never late, ask each pupil for one more sentence with is - Close by having pupils tell their own day in the order from item 4 Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book.

Common sticking points

- In She is never late, building She never is late because they just learned frequency words go before the verb; compare it with I always brush to show what is changes - In item 1, swapping sometimes and often since they sit close together; use the percentage line - In I always brush my teeth, putting always last as in Thai ฉันแปรงฟันเสมอ
