What children will practise

Practise school vocabulary: subject names, what each subject covers, timetable, homework, exam and break, and real classroom sentences such as May I come in?, read aloud correctly (ต 1.1 ป.5/2).

What's in the worksheet

4 matching questions, 4 pairs each - Match History to ประวัติศาสตร์ - Match Music to songs and instruments and Art to drawing and painting - Match break to เวลาพัก and exam to การสอบ - Match Can you repeat, please? to asking someone to say it again

How to use it in class

Use at the start of term or a My School unit, 5 minutes in solo mode. - After item 3, read the class's real timetable in English - Item 4 holds everyday sentences; post them by the door and expect pupils to use them all week Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book. - Use Thai mode: English mode repeats both sides in some questions, so children can match without reading the meaning

Common sticking points

- Item 4: swapping I do not understand. and Can you repeat, please?, which come up in the same moment; check which one is a question - Item 3: break may be matched wrongly by pupils who only know it as to break something - Item 2: swapping Science and Mathematics if they skim numbers and plants and animals
