What children will practise

Practise P6 vocabulary (important, difficult, dangerous, useful), opposites formed with un-, im- and -less, word classes, and the prefixes un-, re-, pre- and dis-, for reading texts (ต 1.1 ป.6/2).

How to use it in class

Use during vocabulary review before a test, 5 minutes in solo mode. - If item 2 goes wrong, point out that careful does not add un- but swaps -ful for -less - For item 4, have pupils find words with pre- or dis- in the coursebook, such as dislike - After item 3, have them change a word's class, such as quick to quickly Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book. - Use Thai mode: English mode repeats both sides in some questions, so children can match without reading the meaning

Common sticking points

- Item 2: expecting un- for every opposite; careful pairs with careless - Item 4: swapping pre- and re-, which look alike - Item 3: swapping quickly and beautiful, both describing words; look for the -ly ending
