A look before you play
A few real prompts from the game to help you choose an activity for your class.
An introduction starts with your name and grows more specific from there.
A comparison runs subject, verb, comparative, "than", then what it is compared with.
"Will" always follows the subject, then comes the plain verb and the time word.
Before you play
Practise ordering a self-introduction paragraph, a comparison (My brother is taller than me), a future sentence (We will go to the zoo next Saturday), and the steps of writing a paragraph (ต 1.2 ป.6/4).
4 ordering questions - My name is Fah. > I am twelve years old. > I live in Chiang Mai. > I like reading books. - My brother > is > taller > than me - We > will > go to the zoo > next Saturday - Write the topic sentence > Add supporting detail > Link it with connecting words > Write the closing sentence
Use before pupils write about themselves or their family, 4 minutes in solo mode. - After item 2, pupils compare themselves with a sibling or friend - Item 4 doubles as a checklist pupils tick after writing Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book.
- Item 1: swapping the middle sentences, which reads fine; if the game marks it wrong, tell pupils that order also works - Item 4: swapping adding detail and linking, which happen together in real writing - Item 3: putting next Saturday right after will
