Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Sort bedroom vs kitchen things, time vs place words, questions answered with a name vs a place, and primary vs other colours (indicator ต 1.1 ป.2/2).

What's in the worksheet

4 questions, sorting into 2 groups - bed, pillow go in the bedroom; pot, knife in the kitchen - morning, night say when; school, market say where - What is your name? and Who is she? are answered with a name; Where is your school? with a place - red, blue are primary colours; pink, brown are other colours

How to use it in class

Works as an end-of-unit review, 5 to 7 minutes, in teams. The team that sorts correctly can explain briefly in Thai. - For colours, if you have paint or crayons, mix red and white to show pink - For the question sort, have teams answer each question first (My name is ...) then drag - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- pink and brown (Q4): children do not know what primary colours are and guess by preference. Teach red, yellow, blue first - knife: dragged to the bedroom when the word is unknown. Teach it and point out the silent k - Who is she?: dragged to place, read as where she is. Answer aloud: She is Mali.
