Game teaching guide

What children will practise

Read nature words (river, mountain, storm), match animals to habitats, and link actions to their effect on the environment, such as recycle cuts down waste (indicator ต 1.1 ป.4/2).

What's in the worksheet

4 questions, matching 4 pairs each - mountain to ภูเขา, forest to ป่า - cloud to เมฆ, storm to พายุ - camel to desert, penguin to ice - recycle to cuts down waste, plant trees to makes the air better

How to use it in class

Use during an environment week or alongside science, about 5 minutes, in teams. After Q4, each team writes a one-line poster such as Save water! for the classroom. - After Q3, ask where in the world penguins live, linking to geography - Use Thai mode: English mode repeats both sides in Q2, so children can match without reading the meaning - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- recycle (Q4) is new, but the other pairs are easy, so children get it by elimination without understanding. Ask what it means afterwards - cloud and storm (Q2) get swapped because storms come with clouds - river and sea (Q1): some cannot tell the two apart in English yet
