Practise time prepositions: in for years, months and parts of the day, on for days of the week, at for clock times and at night, so pupils read or hear time sentences correctly (ต 1.1 ป.5/3).

How to use it in class

Use at the start of a lesson after days, months and telling the time, 4-5 minutes in solo mode. - Draw an upside-down triangle: in for years and months at the top, on for days, at for times at the bottom - The evening and night items sit side by side; if many miss them, learn in the evening, at night as a pair - Close by having pupils say their birthday: My birthday is on ... / in ... Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book.

Common sticking points

- She sleeps ___ night.: choosing in right after in the evening; learn at night as the exception - My birthday is ___ March.: choosing on because a birthday is a day; only the month is given - The temple ___ Sunday: choosing in because Thai says ในวันอาทิตย์
