What children will practise

Sort adjectives for people vs things, frequency words (always, often) vs exact time words (yesterday, last week), and past statements vs past negatives (indicator ต 1.1 ป.4/2).

What's in the worksheet

4 questions, sorting into 2 groups - kind, clever describe people; heavy, expensive describe things - always, often say how often; yesterday, last week say exactly when - Maths, Science use numbers; English, Thai use language - I went there. is a statement; I did not go there. is negative

How to use it in class

An end-of-year P4 game, about 5 minutes, in teams. For Q4, teams notice went becomes go and saw becomes see in the negatives. - For Q2, each child says one sentence with always and one with yesterday - In Q3, if children argue that science uses a lot of language too, agree it is a rough split - Play it linked to your class so scores go into the gradebook

Common sticking points

- Science (Q3): hesitation because science is not only numbers; the split is debatable - often (Q2) is unfamiliar and may land with exact times - She did not see it. (Q4): some think it is present because see is not past. Point to did
