What children will practise

A P6 grammar review by sorting: past versus future sentences, words used for people versus things, verbs whose past and participle match or differ, and real versus imagined if sentences (ต 1.2 ป.6/1).

What's in the worksheet

4 sorting questions - I went yesterday. versus I will go tomorrow. - who and whose versus which and what - buy - bought - bought versus go - went - gone - If it rains, I will stay home. versus If I were a bird, I would fly.

How to use it in class

Use in a P6 revision lesson before the final exam, 6 minutes in team mode. - For item 3, chant the three forms together before dragging - For item 4, ask whether you can really become a bird, to show why it is imagined - For item 2, add that whose can refer to things too, as in the house whose roof is red Play it linked to a class and the results go into the mark book.

Common sticking points

- Item 2: putting whose with things, since it doesn't name the person; the item is genuinely ambiguous, so explain it - Item 2: putting what with people because What is your name? asks about a person - Item 4: calling If I had wings, I would fly. real because had looks like a plain past; look for would
